It's easy to set up Outlook 2007 to read and send your BT Yahoo! emails. Repeat the steps below for each email account you want to access using Outlook 2007, including sub-accounts. Each sub-account will have a different email address and password.
First open Outlook 2007.
Under the Tools menu choose Account Settings.
From the pop-up window select the E-mail tab.
Under this click New.
In the 'Your Name' box enter the name you want people to see when they get your emails.
Enter your full email address (firstname.lastname@example.org) and your BT Yahoo! password.
Outlook 2007 will now test the connection to BT Yahoo! Mail and automatically get the server settings. When it's done this, click Finish.
You're nearly done. To complete the set-up select the Tools menu and choose Account Settings.
In the pop-up window select the btinternet.com email account and click on Change.
Click on the More Settings button in the bottom right-hand corner of the new pop-up window.
Select the Outgoing Server tab.
Check that the box next to "My outgoing server (SMTP) required authentication" is ticked.
If you want to keep a copy of your email messages on the BT Yahoo! Mail server, so you can read them there as well, select the Advanced tab. Tick the box next to "Leave a copy of messages on the server".
Click OK to close the window.
That's it. Now just click Finish.
